Let’s hear it for accidentally following the right pickle path –

I am a chef, and my wife grew up in the restaurant business. We had spent our entire careers honing and perfecting our skills, we just didn’t know pickles were our calling…yet.

So, In 2012 we opened a restaurant appropriately named “Cleveland Pickle”. Yet, it was not created as a “pickle centric” type of place, we just thought it was a great name for a sandwich shop.

The interesting thing was, that while we were indeed garnering rave reviews for our scratch-made, gourmet food, it was our homemade pickles that were quickly becoming the star of the show (which is why the name Cleveland Pickle was so fortuitous) – so we developed a few more flavors outside of our “house” recipe, and we hit the farmer’s markets. Lo and behold, we began selling out everywhere we went.

It was this success and customer demand, that led us, in 2018, to shut down our restaurant operation and focus solely on the becoming a full time pickle manufacturer. We hustled hard for 2 years, drawing the attention of an outside investment group and in December of 2019, we formed a new llc, the US foods group, which has helped us achieve our goal of becoming a product development company with nationwide distribution capabilities.

And now our pickles have a cult following, are in groceries (refrigerated and shelf stable alike), and are making pickle history.
